Thanks for a GREAT resource! My dad (James W Cooper) passed away back in 1980 and my research on his history has been slow. However, I recently obtained copies of his personnel file and discovered that he was assigned to the Amphibious Force Training Base in Little Creek, VA and went from there to Ft Pierce, FL. Finally, he ended up with the 1st Beach Battalion in Mar of '43. Any additional information and/or copies of photos would be greatly appreciated. I have some copies (electronic) of some photos that he had saved that I will forward to vtrbwhite@comcast.net. (Any feedback that can be provided about them would also be appreciated.)
